Downtown and the waterfront
Around Clematis Street, The Square and along Flagler Drive, most of my West Palm requests are in high-rise and mid-rise condos. Expect concrete exterior walls, metal or wood studs inside, and building rules about elevator bookings and insurance paperwork. I handle the COI ahead of time.
Historic districts
El Cid, Flamingo Park, Northwood, Grandview Heights and the other historic neighborhoods have homes from the 1920s and 1930s. Many have original plaster walls, which can crack if they're drilled carelessly. I take more time on these: locate framing, drill in stages, and tell you up front if a wall is better left alone. Some historic homes have built-in nooks or fireplaces that already set the room's focal point, so placement is a conversation, not a guess.
West of I-95
Ibis, Andros Isles, Baywinds and the communities toward the Turnpike are mostly 1990s–2010s homes with framed interior walls. These are quick, clean installs: find the studs, mount, level, connect your devices, done.
Also available on the same visit in West Palm Beach: handyman work and furniture assembly from $75/hr, and Smart Home Setup.
