Block-built homes off Southern and Okeechobee
Much of Royal Palm Beach was built from the 1970s through the 2000s with concrete-block exterior walls. Neighborhoods like La Mancha, Saratoga and the communities around Madison Green and Crestwood are full of them. Interior walls are usually framed, but the long outside wall of a living room is often block. I confirm which is which before drilling and use the right anchor for each.
Kids' rooms and game rooms
In bedrooms and playrooms, a wall-mounted TV is safer than one on a dresser. I mount it at a height that works for the kids, and I can anchor dressers and bookcases to the wall in the same visit at the handyman rate.
The Acreage, Loxahatchee and Westlake
